Silver Ice Metallic 2019 Chevrolet Colorado LT *CONVENIENCE PACKAGE, *TRAILER TOW PACKAGE, *LONG BED, 4WD. The Colorado are more maneuverable than full-sized trucks and better equipped than their Nissan and Toyota competitors. We tested the V6, which returned 18 mpg overall, and the four-cylinder diesel, which got 24 mpg overall. The ride is rather choppy, as expected of a pickup, but handling is responsive. Inside are the latest electronics, including the MyLink audio system. The first small truck to offer forward-collision and lane-departure warnings. In addition, a backup camera is standard. New for 2019 are an eight-speed automatic transmission and an updated, more responsive V6. Consumer Reports. The 2019 Colorado checks off most of the requirements to be a good truck. Its two available gasoline engines emphasize either fuel efficiency or power, and its optional turbodiesel offers both (for a higher purchase price). The diesel also gives the Colorado one of the highest tow ratings among compact pickup trucks at 7,700 pounds. Its maximum payload capacity is also very good. The new V-6's story isn't just about power, however, but about efficiency. The new 3.6-liter V-6 for the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado features cylinder deactivation, which disables two cylinders during light throttle application. Also new for the 2019 Colorado is the 8L45 eight-speed automatic transmission, replacing the previous six-speed automatic when the new V-6 engine is specified. Motor Trend Magazine
Taking into consideration its low starting price and respectable list of standard amenities, and the availability of affordable options, the Colorado presents a great value. This appealing blend also illustrates why the Colorado earned our award for the 2017 Best Compact Truck for the Money award winner because it continues to have the best combination of quality and value in its class. The Colorado is on a three-year winning streak for this award something no other compact truck has done. Topping off the Colorado's attributes is its history of above-average reliability.
The main area where the Colorado stumbles is safety. The Colorado still has very good safety ratings, they're just not as high as those of some competitors. U.S.News
